A few years ago I made a 30" ball (after several rude awakenings)
and put wings on it, it rests on a spike on a pole and turns when it's windy.
I have wanted to make bigger ones ever since, they fascinate me.
So this year I made a 36" and a 48". Here's the smaller one.
I love what they do to the planted areas, the heft and the tension/repose
somehow inherent in the shape.
The color isn't finished.
