I have a seed pod on my Velvet Palm (Chamaedorea adscendens). It had one other, and that one just kind of dried up and died. No viable seed. I have been told that for many Chamies, you need 2 plants (male and female) to get viable seed, is adscendens one of these?
My C. seifriezii and C. radicans (2 very similar forms of bamboo palms) that live in the yard set viable seeds all the time, and there are only one each of those.
