    Lovely article, Carrie...I am surrounded by leaf peepers at the moment, too...everything around me is ablaze in gold, dark green, various shades of red, pale yellow, orange, with the white bark of the sycamores peeping through. It is a beautiful time of year, and I don't have to go anywhere else to enjoy it.

    Very nice article but did you have to put that poison oak pic in there? I'm feeling itchy already! It's torture in plant form. hehe. Fun article.

    Torture, it may be, but poison oak and poison ivy both turn luscious shades of crimson in the fall. Check in the photography forum -- there might be an autumn foliage thread. (I haven't checked yet this year.) I hope your virtual itching has virtually vanished soon!
