I have been growing, and sharing seeds, from my dbl, yellow and purple Daturas for a few years now.
Now--I need a bit of advice from you all...
My Daturas grow long and lanky. All the stems and sprawled. Yes! They get enough light!!
Not compact, as I have seen on some of your pictures.
My question is---------can a newly growing Datura (from seed) be pinched back to create a more compact growth? At what size/point? Would you do it as soon as it has about 2-3 sets of true leaves? I have never done this--but maybe I should.
I don't like the way mine are growing. Right now--even though the growing season is over--they are still there---about 4' tall and stems in every which direction. Not many leaves any more.
I am just waiting for the seed pods to split--so I can harvest the seeds. Otherwise, i would yank them out!
Thanks for any advice...Gita
