| Such a silly little rose, this Mme Sylvie Dufer d'Yvre. I've never seen one like it. So cute!! It is noted on the web site to be a Hybrid Rugosa Hybridized by Jean-Pierre Vibert 1999. It is described as
| Quoted: | | "This fragrant rose has turbinate buds which open into large, pink blooms with a lighter reverse. The grey-green foliage is like that of a Rugosa. Well armed and vigorous." |
It can be found at [HYPERLINK@www.rosegathering.com] So, ok, I've gotta go check out "turbinate buds."
And at that same web site you must see the photographs of the The Roseraie of Val-de-Marne in l'Ha˙-les-Roses at [HYPERLINK@www.rosegathering.com] Unbelievable rows, aisles, paths, arches full of roses of all colors. What a place this must be.
Eeeewww, apologies! I'm new to searching around The Web for roses. Y'all are probably well-versed in such goings on throughout the world. It's sure new to me and I just had to comment on these two items at that site.
