anyone interested?
handcrafted cards only. no commercially produced cards.

James

You would get one back for every card you sent. If you sent 5, you'd get 5.

Hi Im new to this forum but not GW and never thought of making my own cards until now.. I always went searching for them and never really found cards I wanted to use. I do alittle scrapping but love to draw and paint.. Would cards with hand drawn front and a few extras be okay for the swap? If so I may want to get in on this one..

Christmas is my favorite season...

Sure. Hand-painted, drawn, lettered, stamped, stencilled, whatever. Just no commercially produced cards (like Hallmark). If we should do this, the sign-up deadline would have to be Thanksgiving so everyone would have time to make their cards and get them in the mail.

Hope you can! If we can get maybe a minimum of 10 people, this ought to be a go.

So, would we sign these cards, or would they be blank? I've seen swaps that go both ways on that, so I thought I'd better check!

In all of the card swaps I have done in the past we made the cards, it was optional whether you put a verse or saying inside and just signed our usual name or initials and date on the back of the cards...that way the person receiving the cards had the option of keeping them as samples or using the cards...

this sounds like fun, I haven't done a card swap in years!

I think it best to leave them unsigned so everyone can send them out to someone else if they want. We would need to provide an envelope for each card.

Should we just make it a general card exchange since time is kind of short for Christmas? Maybe we could extend the deadline to January and just make it general?

So far all I have ever made were Christmas cards. Having a general exchange would open up a whole new world for me, and that's great!

But...would using categories mean that we would send a variety? Not a dozen, etc. of the same design? How does it work?

Maybe a Christmas exchange NEXT year?
