Wonderful to see what you can do on a small area, and I love the running pictorial. Great article.

Thank you, ma'am. : ) I'm really enjoying seeing what I can do on my patio. I know there are others here at DG who do amazing things in boxes. This is just my little 'farm'.

I'm curious about the stands you have them on. A lucky find, or...?

Jan, you are my inspiration! This year we had a couple edible tomatoes for the first time ever (I had to put them up on the table so somebody or something couldn't eat them...) and dozens of tiny spicy peppers (I guess nobody but us humans wanted those). Next year ... I'll have a whole garden!

OCCAROL, the stands were not just a lucky find. they are made to go with the boxes. the best part is they are on casters so you can move them around. you can view them here

Robin, thanks much

Carrie, you sweetie. This is a learn by doing adventure. I guess I've had as many failures as successes, but every year I learn more and try to turn around the failures. Anyway, it's a lot of fun and much more manageable than digging in the ground for me.
