most citrus trees are grafted & can have fruit in a year, seeded trees take 7 years to fruit,do not always give you the same tasting fruit that you planted.

We grow a couple of "sour orange" trees (trees that have not been grafted) on our property, they are excellent used for marinating meats, or making "orangeaide' (like lemonaide). A lot of animals also each the fruit. We are located in Nobleton, Fl, zone 9, so the trees do get a certain amount of "cold/frost" days, which helps to "sweeten" most citrus.
