Thanks, Paul... you gotta try this. I know you won't mess with the little frou frou decorative shapes, but you can surely pour melted soap into an OJ can or some such and slice it into bars when it comes out. :-)

Oh, come on... I heard that skepticism... real men use scented soap! You don't have to use lavender... you could do something nonfloral, like sandalwood, or rosemary & orange. ;-)

Hmm... betcha somebody makes an essential oil from hops... LOL, somehow I don't see you going out and about smelling like a rose, exactly, but I'm not sure smelling like a beer is great either!

OK, how about a more practical handyman sort of application... when we were getting our townhouse ready to sell, I discovered that a little vanilla plus a couple drops of orange oil on a cotton ball, tucked around various places, did a great job of "neutralizing" that new paint / new carpet smell.
