| vinyl sheets?
and do they come in standard size 8x11 or no?
do you think this medium would work (thick enough/sturdy enough) to have the sheets spiral bound and then used as a sticker book collection for a kid? would these sheets make it easy enough to remove and reposition stickers?
Edited to say I've expanded this thread to include questions on all scrapbooking tools, national store sales, online vendors, etc...

| Have you looked at transparency sheets at an office supply store? They are letter size. |

| I believe there are different weights. Good luck though.
The ones you write on are much sturdier than the ones you run through a printer. |

| What about laminating chipboard? |

| never heard of chipboard?
but the other, the vinyl, that won't be cost effective. it seems to run almost 5 bucks a sheet! whew! i can laminate cardstock cheaper than that. but i think maybe they'll sell do it yourself hard laminattion sheets precut to fit 8x11 sheets.
could use contact paper but it's not the strength i'm looking for.

| It's stiff, dense cardboard - like several sheets of cardstock densely compacted.
Check this out:

| I have a new question-------
I could always spend money going into any craft stores scrapbooking aisles but I'm interested now in only specific products since I've scrapped sooooooo many books I know now how I like to do things, have most the tools I could want etc.
But now I'm interested in the growing number of pre-done albums I'm seeing. I would love to have some of these to dissect, use just a pre-done page here and there as it fits into pages I've already created. But I don't want to pay full price for any album and these run about $30.
Does anyone know if they ever go on sale at Hobby Lobby or Michael's because so far I've not seen them in flyers??? |

| Have you tried OhMyCrafts.com? They also have cricut cartridges for as cheap as $25.00!! I have purchased from them 4 times now without a problem. They are also selling on ebay.
They have their own brand of vinyl that sells for $5.99 for 2 sheets of 12 x 24. I have never used the vinyl I should add. |

| How you liking your cricut? Got mine on black Friday. LOVIN' it. I admit I struggled with it at first but now I L.O.V.E it. Every once in a while OMC (oh my crafts) has a sale 4 carts for $100!!
Please post layouts if you get a chance would love to see them. Are you a card maker? |

| Oh no, I barely have time for scrapbooking family photos, havn't gotten into paper crafting. Would like a cricut (not sure you were asking me or not?) but I'm just not willing to spend the cash on my "hobby" like that just yet :) I've successfully scrapped so many albums I'm happy with last year I'm trying not to delve into the pricier tools lol or I'd want them! |

| Sorry, I thought I had read in another thread that you had bought a cricut. Glad I didn't read your post until this morning!! I spent enough on cartridges!! Spent the entire weekend outside! It was almost 60 yesterday!! What a welcome break after the long cold winter. |

| Awe I wish it were 60 here yesterday...it rained all day...but I know we need it to start waking things up around here and thawing things out. NO snow anymore YAY ...
Pretty soon the cricut will be obsolete...and cartridges will be 10 bucks...wooo hooo they way they keep coming out with newer and newer things. |

| I'm all for $10 cartridges!! As it is my expression which was once $600 was $199!! Not too awfully bad, imho that is. |

| There is already software which will allow you to cut out anything with your Cricut. http://www.craftedge.com/index.html I want to buy it as soon as I can save up the money. |

| The only problem with the software is it voids your warranty with provo craft BUT from what I have heard provo craft customer service leave MUCH to be desired. I guess the better business bureau gives them a rating of -d so the warranty might not be worth much anyway. Let me know if you like the software once you buy it. |

| Provocraft's customer service is abysmal, and not just for customers. The owner of our locally-owned scrapbook store said they are the worst company to deal with. Orders take weeks and weeks to come, and it makes her business look bad. But they're the only place to get the product.
Anyway, the software won't physically do anything to the Cricut to alter it and the Cricut can easily be reset to its factory settings if there's anything odd.
