I need to salvage my son's firetruck cake. I forgot to cut off the rounded top before flipping it over and the cake split. Is there a way to fix it or should I just bake a new one in the morning???

I may be too late here, but if a cake breaks you can sometimes stick it back together with toothpicks and a little frosting.

You just have to warn people ahead of time that they may find a toothpick in their slice.

Thanks anyway, I propped it up with plastic spoons and filled the cracks with extra frosting, looked fine until I had to take the spoons away to cut it, by that time it didn't matter, lol.

I'm leaving the fancy cakes to the bakeries from now on.
