Our dd and I are going to tackle this right after Thanksgiving. Small room w/ vinyl. Do I nail cement fibreboard on top of the existing floor? 1/4 " and do you have to tape/seal the seams? Then the thinset? I did all this 4-5 yrs ago and have no memory of the process.
