Article: Salix - How to Grow Willow Trees
cathy4 St. Louis County, MO (Zone 5a) Thanks for the memory, when I was young we had a willow in our yard that looked like the thumbnail. It was so much fun to play under and is still one of my favorite leaves. I don't have room in my yard for a tree, but I do grow the small dappled willow shrubs. They flutter in the slightest breeze.
MitchF Lindsay, OK (Zone 7a) They are wonderful are they not? I love some of the new ones they have now with the pinks and white - really nice in the garden and good to build the rest of the bed with.
carrielamont Euless, TX (Zone 8a) Awwww, Mitch, what a sweet article!
lydia999 Las Cruces, NM i was wondering how this tree would do in a container garden???
MitchF Lindsay, OK (Zone 7a) Would be ok for short term .
