| I will plant some of these in the spring. I love the idea of winter blooms. |

| Kathy,
Winter blooming anything is nice when it seems like spring will never come.
I remember seeing shrubs blooming with snow on the ground when I was a kid and thinking how odd it was. Now I know how the homeowners were thinking!

| I thought crocus was the only thing that would give me winter blooms in zone 5. It is cool to see there are others. By February, the winter doldrums get mighty bad. I sit with seed catalogs and write long wish lists but I sure would like to see something bloom for real! |

| Oh yes, I remember Feb. north of here. It was always the 'lose your mind' month. You know spring is coming but it just seems like it will never 'pop'.
I remember going out and painting flowers in the snow with food coloring! lol |

| In February I take cuttings of forsythia bush and bring them in house. In a few days I have lots of bright yellow blooms |

| Forsythia is so pretty. I have two here but they have never done as well as those I had in my yard north of here. I miss seeing the giant mounds of yellow everywhere in early spring. |

| Could you be more specific about winter-blooming heath? I looked in Plant Files and found 16 pages of heaths. Are you referring to all heaths or a certain one for winter flowers. I have a friend in zone 6 who would love any winter-blooming plant. Thanks. |
