Funny story...
I have been searching for teasel for quite some time. Many people have told me that it grows wild around here but, until yesterday, I'd never seen any near here.
Yesterday hubby and I were taking an unfamiliar road home because we'd heard that it had an historic barn somewhere on it. We found the barn but couldn't get close to it. Continued toward home. We passed a field that had something tall and grassy growing in it (unusual in these parts). I asked hubby what he thought it might be. He had no idea, no farmer, he :-) Suddenly I spotted teasel!! I got so excited that I grabbed his arm and yelled, "They've got teasel!". He yelled back, "What?? What are you talking about?!!". I tried to explain but he was completely without interest :-( Anyway, the teasel was contained in the fenced in field so I couldn't get to it. Maybe I'll spot it again sometime...
