Also, the link mentioned that the images one creates are "yours alone". Just wanted to make sure that I could do anything (commercial or otherwise) with the images created, correct?
Yes, you may indeed do anything you like with the images you create. My copyright is for my book and the website pages, not the fractal program or any images produced from it.
