A roofer we had this summer ripped off our old shingle but dropped it onto my poor maple tree. I was sick but since he was a old neighbor/somewhat friend he gave us $500 towards a new tree. Our Arborist said it was worth $1500 really..I took the $500 and bought a new JP Maple to replace it with in the front yard which cost $275. Nothing near this size but at least it looks better in the front yard. I hated to throw this tree out so my husband and father moved it to the back yard. By end of summer it seemed to be doing well growing new leaves and looked good. Not sure what kinds shape it will have and not sure how to trim it now this year but I think it will make it now that it is in its new location.. Here are photos of the tree...Any advice on how to trim it or shape it this year or should I just let it grow on its own and see how it does??
