Okay, so DS when through a rough patch with bedtime before and we basically let him cry it out. I worked and soon, he went to bed without too much fuss, BUT now, bedtime is stretching out to almost and hour and it just isn't working for me and DH. We would be okay with the crying it out, but now, he takes his pj's off (or gets them hung on his head or arm or leg), he throws his pillow and blankets out of the crib, etc., so just not checking on him is not really an option. We have a strict routine 7 days a week, so that is already in place. He takes his bath fairly early in the evening because bath time actually stimulates him, not relaxes him. No sugar or caffeine.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. On a good night, it is an hour with multiple visits, on a bad night is may be two hours. That is too late for him to get to sleep since we get up early in the morning.
Thanks.
