Home Depot here has pots of pansies, that include some other kind of flower. The markers in the pots only said "pansy", but mixed in, and with very similar foliage, were some red blossoms that didn't look like any pansy I ever saw. The person working there didn't know what it was.
I bought one, that had one of these odd blossoms in it, but by the time I got home the little odd blossom had dropped, so - darn it - I have no photo.
I'm hoping someone else saw this same combo at their local HD, or can recognize from my pathetic description.
Red blossom, about 1.5" across, 4 petals making a definite rounded shallow cup shape. One pistil or pistil/stamen very close together in the center, distinctly yellow. Foliage very similar to the pansies.
Curiosity is killing me. I'll try to go back tomorrow and take a photo if they still have some.
