Mahi with 3,000 pieces. I have to get a picture of it grouted. I grouted the fish light and the water charcoal.

That IS very nice. What kind of glass did you use? Have you ever used broken plates, etc. to mosaic? Is that on backerboard? Where have you put it? I wish I had made my background with only one or two colors. I think things would have made more sense when you look at it if I had. Do and learn!!

I dont know what kind of glass. I always have about $1,000 worth of glass laying around. No I have no intrest in doing broken plates etc. You loose control of the art if you cant precisely shape the tile. I also try to keep all my grout lines on all four sides of every piece of glass the identical width. Thats what Ive seen all the pros do who I idolize. I may not yet understand light, shadows and color as good as the pros but my grout lines are every bit as consistent.

That is the wonderful thing about mosaics - and art as well - it won't let you put it in a “box”. That's what keeps us growing as artist::))
