I have NEVER had luck with AF leaf cuttings but after reading your excellent article with the added info about sterilizing soil, I'm going to try again. i may just be a glutten for punishment!

I do think sterilizing the soil helps avoid problems. But if your leaves have rotted in the past, the most likely culprit is overly-wet soil. Try bagging the leaf pot for humidity and barely moistening the potting mix... using a very light mix with added perlite helps also. Once the leaf strikes roots, you're just about home free!
