Now I know where the saying , "If the Lord's willin' and the creek don't rise." Well the creek (river) did rise so here I sit.

And now of course the question remains.. after the creek goes down will the road/bridge remain?

Jazz,
Like that name,
Ahhh, sometimes yes, sometimes no What you are seeing in that picture is bedrock. It doesn't move. Occasionally the first crossing gets slammed but the county gets it back up in a couple of days. Our biggest problem is the debris. We have several backhoes in the community so they (we) clean it out. Fun to find great driftwood when it gets out of its banks.

Thanks JoAnne :)
Well it's good that it's bedrock.. We had a big flood and it came up high enough that it washed out part of the bridge..and it was quite a drop to the creek.. Still gives me shudders. Not my road or any road that I Use often but still..I always try to see where the water is when it's up..lol you get old you get paranoid!
