I have a bunch of seed packets and bulbs that I have bought over the last few years. I went thru them when I moved to Phoenix and threw out any that were obviously rotten and gave away a bunch more that won't grow here. I have a few left. Is there anyway to tell if the bulb is still viable, or at least definitely not worth digging a hole? I also wondered where I would find info on which bulbs need a hard freeze to grow and which don't . I know tulips and daffodils are pretty impossible to grow here without keeping them in the freezer between seasons.
