    I'm really fortunate that not one, but two of my neighbors have huge, mature trees. Becky, on the north, and Judy on the south. I often pick a blossom and float it in a bowl in the house. Such a soft, relaxing aroma.

    Thank you for your reminder of what is a treasure.

    BTW the former owner of Becky's home and tree had his mother's magnolia moved here when it was already at least 20 feet tall. We were all amazed. Of course, it had to be professionally done.

    WOW - how big was that root ball? Our home here came with a huge 30 some foot stunning one in the middle of the Ft yard - and we love it!

    Christi, those Magnolia flowers are magnificient! Thanks for the idea to pick them and float them in a wide bowl.
