| I finally had several pieces framed recently and was able to pick up them up over the holidays. I still have more to frame but it's so costly so I'll have to wait a bit.
This one is my own design called 'Snow Poem Tree'. I stitched it on 28ct Cashel 'Mystic' from Picture This Plus. I used DMC white for the lettering and Kreinik #4 braid in various pale shades for the flakes. It was a fun and fast stitch! Click the image for an enlarged view.

| This is 'Spots of Fun' sampler by Debbie Draper Designs (a freebie online). I really liked this one because it gave me a chance to play with several brands of overdyed threads. Click the image for an enlarged view.

| Lastly, my design called 'Owls of Summer'. This was meant to be a fun one and I'm going to hang it in the kid's room. I'm designing more owls for the rest of the seasons. Click the image for an enlarged view.

| Lovely designs!! I have never designed anything myself!
I have been very lazy as far as my cross stitch goes. I think I did so much of it for awhile that I just got tired of it. I have two projects that I must get out and get busy at night when I am watching the tube!
Thanks for sharing.

| Thanks Glenda! I think some people just naturally go in cycles of interest with their stitching and I'm no different, especially if it's a big project. I tend to stay away from designs now that require filling in every hole on the fabric because for 1) they take too long and I get bored easily and 2) I love the look of hand dyed linens showing through for a background. I stitch at night as well while watching a video (no cable tv set up here at the moment) or when everyone else has gone to bed. Designing is just for the fun and challenge of it.
Would love to see what you were/are working on!

| Erynne, I have been working on a X-stitch of Jedburgh Castle in Scotland, where my mother was born.
Also, doing the Royal Doulton "Jennifer" . I was lucky and was able to find the pattern for it through someone here on DG. Jennifer is my daughter's name, and I bought her the mini Royal Doulton Jennifer quite some time ago and thought I would give them both to her for her birthday. Well, that birthday passed, Xmas passed, the next birthday passed, and Xmas has passed again. I DID give her the Royal Doulton for Xmas, so will try and get busy on the X-stitch for her birthday or next Xmas.

| Erynne...lovely work! Your designs are great. I've been in a slump for X-stitching for quite a while, along with Glenda I think I got burned out. I took up tatting a couple of years ago, that's been fun, but always find myself thinking about projects I have in X-stitching yet to be done. |
