    We just bought a similiar statue this fall--at first I thought a griffin, but now consider it a winged lion. It has been left outside. But I paid more then $10, even if it was on sale. Lucky you. I prefer beasties & Imps for garden art.

    As you can see from my "name," I love these beasts. At least one boldly guards my front door, while the others peek out from various changing spots in the garden. On Halloween, they line up along the front walk to greet young visitors before retreating to the garage for winter's hibernation.

    It's good to know my guardians have a place to visit for an occasional evening. They are very loyal and always return.

    I have a concrete turtle which doesn't scare anyone. Winged lion is on a small slope & I am thinking of planting creeeping pholx below him.
