I'll continue to add to these posts as I find more good videos or links to good sources. I think I'll separate them into techniques within the thread so they'll be easier for all of us to find.

I learned about this web site from my instructor. I really like their videos - they add a new one each week.

I'm watching the one on centering right now---this guy is an EXCELLENT instructor! And did you see the size of that studio? WOW...I think you could hide mine in one dark corner...LOL!
Thanks for posting this link!

He IS an excellent instructor. The other guy isn't bad, either. After throwing my first pot this week, I need all the help I can get, plus a LOT of practice. LOL
Actually, I did OK at first, but got a wobble when I tried to pull it up - I tend to make things wide open instead of tall - did it with the pinch pot, too.

However, it's as fun as I remember from high school (lo, those many years ago!). :-)

I've been working on my garden (pruned my apple tree today---a few weeks late) and I haven't had time to work on clay projects. But I'm going to review all of these videos. I'm getting the itch to throw again!

This is such a great clip. I thought he could have stopped at several places and had a beautiful shape, but the end result is very nice.

I'm bumping this thread back up, and posting a link to the Ceramic Arts Daily website again. They've added TONS of new videos since July of 2009. There's also loads of free info on glaze recipes, tips on supplies, firing, and building techniques and more!
