I know a similar post was made for zone 5, but it could be a great discussion for higher zones too.
I went to a very windy beach last summer Z10a/b and saw a few species of palms. The King (cunninghamiana) palms were very wind tattered. The Kentia Howea Palms looked great. The Washingtonias and CIP's looked good too. What other palms hold up well and not so well in the winds?
We had high winds in So CA several days ago. A few king leaflets were tattered. My neighbors large exposed cunninghamiana looks very tattered. I wonder if the alexandrae will look better under windy conditions. The leaflets don't feel as stiff as cunningham. Mine is protected from the wind for now.
