Should I paint these verticle edge trim pieces the same color as my wall?

I'm keeping all the white trim - I'm just talking about the two verticle corner pieces - should I blend them into the wall?

It would look more unified if they were painted.

so far the comments are 50/50.

I just don't know - there is an argument both ways.

I would appreciate a consensus

thanks

I doubt you'll get a consensus since it's a question of individual taste--you're going to find some people who think it would look better left white and others will think it should match the wall. So ultimately it comes down to what look you prefer since you're the one who's going to have to look at it everyday. The general "rule" is that trim is painted a different color than the wall, but this particular trim is in a place where you don't always see trim so you could change the "rules" and make it match the wall if you want to de-emphasize it.

I would paint them the darker of the two blues in your wall color if you want to accentuate the height. if not the lighter blue will help them disapear.

Definately paint them as they are supposed to be there just for protecting the corners and not for astetics...best not to "notice" them and painting them the wall color would be perfect.

Nice paint job!

thank you for your input. I was thinking I should paint them. But at this point. I don't know if that will actually happen, Unless I decide to do it while I'm painting the bath that is off of this room. But, I'm only using one of the colors in the bath. (I do have some of the other two colors left - so maybe it will get done)., but, at least I know for future reference.

Thanks again
