I need some advice for my perennial garden.
1. I have a wooden shadow box fence behind it, and was thinking about planting a climbing hydrangea to grow on it. I've read that it can be such a vigorous climber that it can sometimes crush wooden structures. Does anyone have any experience with this?
2. I have some sedum autumn joy in the garden that I really like when it isn't blooming and when it's just in bud (but still green), but I hate the way it looks in the garden when the flowers are in bloom. So, I'm thinking about moving them and replacing them. I want something with nice, interesting foliage. I'm considering Lady's Mantle, but would love other suggestions.
Thanks so much!
