Why did I think I could handle this piece.
It begs to be big but I should have just walked away.
Now this is what happens when your ego makes the decission.
This piece is 15 inches wide and 32 inches high. I had confiscated the big box the new oven came in so I have a backing, and yes it will fit in my car.
Brushes are another problem however.
I cant find my 3" brush and the 1 and 2 inch ones are on their last legs.
Yes I spent $150.00 for three new brushes.
Guess the garden will have to wait.
This is the first phase. I will continue to update as time goes by.

What media are you using?

Hap

Edit: Silly me. Should not go into new forms without checking what I'm doing.

I saw your WC on another thread and they are divine. Also say a mention of Rochester. Well hey, girlfriend, I'm from there!! My boys are still there with one in Fairport and the other in Victor. Small world.

I also used to paint with WC but it was Sumi-e. I haven't painted in years, but just this week I have started to set up my table again. It's fun as long as I don't get obsessed with making everything perfect, which I usually do. UGH!! Here is one of mine.

Opps, hit the send button too fast.

I have to make a correction.
I was told by the DGer whose picture I used ,that its a Siberian Iris ,not a JI.
Thanks everyone.

I rarely tak more than a month off.
There are times of the year that are better for my "mo-jo" than others.
I'm cookin right now but sense its comming to an end. Then when the poppies are blooming I have to paint.

Hi, I've been lurking and enjoying the progress of the big painting. I'm not sure what I think of it because I feel like I'm not seeing enough detail from the photos, which could be my screen. The little iris painting is a gem!

The big painting is shelved for now. I just lost controle of it.
Its something I was doing in a 4 session class as an excersize.
I like the siberian too and am working on a big - - - -- YES big painting of it.
This is stage 2
Dont freak out yet there is a long way to go.
