This is my first time growing them, and I was wondering why it is taking Sooo long for them to mature. This was helpful, to see that they do have a long growing period! I wondered if I was doing something wrong, because the plants are large, and healthy. Thanks
I was having the same concerns. Very slow growth. But extremely healthy plants. They did nothing more than wilt a bit during our week of December freezes. Perked right back up. I have several that have maturing sprouts, almost ready to eat. But my plants are nowhere near the 3 foot height I was told to expect. My biggest is one foot at the max. Mine were planted as transplants 9/20/09.
