I went to Michaels (I never do that) and they had TONS of Christmas crafts on 80% off!!!!!!!!!!!! So I bought tons---and DD1 and DD2 can do them in years to come. You wouldn't think DD1 who's only just turned 2 would say ALL the time, "I want to do a craft project" but the local library branch has a lot of funds so they host a storytime and family craft night. Well it'd be hard to compete with that at home but now we can!

It only required one storage bin in my office closet and we got lots of fun stuff. Can't beat that price either. Michaels has a lot more craft projects and a lot of small cheapy appeals to kids stuff while Hobby Lobby (were I WAS going) is more adult and much less crafts and it's holiday was much more picked over.

So I'll have to hit Michaels end of every holiday and get some things for other holidays.

Speaking of which, I bought Christmas m&m's. I got the big bags of plain and also peanut. Wearing latex gloves with Siobhan to help I just separated out the colors---reds for Valentines desserts and the green for St Patty's (yes we love the Irish here LOL!). But there were no expiration dates??? Someone on Dave's told me they worked at a candy co and holiday candies were made upwards of 9 months in advance! For now we've shrink packed them with oxygen absorbers in the bags to store but I wonder how long those will last like that????

Edited to say---for free crafts consider checking with your local library for a craft day or kids story time. We live in a great library district and enjoy this service once a week! Also, don't forget---both Home Depot and Lowe's also offer a craft day usually revolving around a holiday craft but not always and I believe they are always on weekends :). I'd never checked into them but now that DD is older we can go to!
