I live in Atlanta, GA and I have had a white bird for 5 years. It's in a large pot, almost eight feet tall and I take it in every winter.
I can't get it to bloom and I'd like to know what I'm doing wrong--if anything. I give it all purpose fertilizer twice a year and it's not pot bound.

8' tall of trunk, or total height? 8' total height is not very tall for one it may still be too young to flower. Mine is 12' tall over all and still way too young to flower. Shorter ones will sometimes flower if in the ground and have been suckering and growing happily for many years, but somewhat stunted by heat.
