I am remodeling my bathroom, and I need help picking the paint color. My vanity is mahogany, and the granite counter top is grey with some red spot.

Floor tiles are beige, same as bath tiles. I have not pick the color for the shower curtain and the bath rug yet. I painted green but don't like it. The bathroom is 6ftx8ft with regular size window.

Thank you.

What colors do you like? There are a number of different colors that would go fine with the colors you have so chances are there's a shade of a favorite color of yours that would go just fine. One thing I'd suggest is getting some of those little sample jars of paint in a few different colors, then you can paint some areas on the wall to test them out and see if you like them before you buy a whole can, I've found that's really helpful for deciding paint colors.

Thanks ecrane3 for reply. I am not good with colors, I already wasted $250 on the paint and still couldn't decide what color to go with. I like grey, but my husband is not.

Any other advice what color will match with the tiles and vanity top, prefer light color.

If you like grey and he doesn't, how about a pale blue? That would be close to your gray so you'd probably like it, but since it's not gray maybe he'd be OK with it. You could also go with green (obviously a different shade than the one you didn't like), or you could go with something in the beige/tan family, or there are even some shades of pale gold/yellow that might work. That's the problem, there are a ton of colors that would work fine from a standpoint of not clashing with what you've already got so ultimately it comes down to what makes you happy. You might see if one of the paint stores in your area has a design service, maybe you could get them to help you out with picking the colors if you really aren't confident to do it yourself.

Paintcolors, I went to hardware store HD and picked out some swatches. Little paper color sheets in the paint section. I brought home and stuck on wall next to trim and looked at different colors that way until I decided on the color. Just be careful because some paints are darker when mixed and ran into that one too. Olympic paint was great but thicker so therefore the color came out a lot darker than planned. Valspar suited my fancy better.Love the fact that a lot of your paints now have primer built in, look for them and will save a lot of time. Good luck and let us see end results.
