Hi everyone! I'm a newbie here and at mosaic as well. I was just checking out some of the beautiful bowling balls that some of you made with TG and of course want to start one. I got myself some TG and bowling balls yesterday but I have a couple questions first.
1. If I put a picture on the bb, can I glue it with mud podge on top?
2. When using TG, I noticed that most of you take it all apart in small pieces, do you mean like one really tiny little piece at a time, or can you put a piece let's say 1 in or 2 inch and glue that???
3. Any other tricks I should know about before I start? I'm taking the day off friday to be with a friend of mine and we'll both make one.
Thanks
Charmo!!!!! Look at your piece and do what "IT TELLS YOU TO DO!!!" Whatever you do... It is yours!!!! Have FUN!!!!!! That is" WHAT IT IS ALL ABOUT!!! "EXPECIALLY,,,WITH A FRIEND!!!!!,,, THAT IS A MEMORY THAT WILL NEVER, NEVER, NEVER,GO AWAY!!!!!!!!!
charmo, Did you do your BB yet? You can use large pieces of the TG. Make sure your BB is sealed first! Then either paint the back of the TG or you can wrap the BB with some neat shinny paper. It takes time..I'm working on one now with mirror tiles & am putting in silver half moons on it. Good luck & hope you come back & post a picture of it.
