What a great topic. A fragrant houseplant would be fantastic. Do you know if the hoya would be happy in a cold winter window? The soil in the pots on my North window sill is 55 degrees this time of year.
The Hoya carnosa should handle that easily. That's about the temp. on my windowsill. There is actually snow formed on the inside of the window right now.
Thanks for the great article! Just what the doctor ordered... I'd complained on another thread about not being able to grow much in my grandmother's room because of the northern and eastern exposure there. I remember now that she used to talk about growing Hoya when she lived on the California coast and she must have really loved it as she did everything else about living there. She never really got over moving away from there. It's good to know that is a good candidate for growing in her room. Appreciate this and your other good tips.
