My 10 yo son just loves it, and plucks off leaves to chew on every time he walks by. I love to weed in the herb garden because of all the lovely scents when I brush against the herbs. I haven't had great luck with drying it, though. It seems to lose its flavor and get powdery. Fresh is awesome, though!
I've always had a great association in my mind with sage, because of reading about it in the Laura Ingalls Wilder books when I was a child. I remember one year Laura & Mary started fighting about whether or not they should have sage in the stuffing for the holidays, I think in On the Shores of Silver Lake. I was immediately on a mission to find out what sage tasted like!
Thanks for the great article! I'll look forward to more!
