what a nice idea for an article! We had an old lady in our neighborhood, whose entire yard was a garden with narrow, brick pathways between the beds. I remember being pre-school, and my mom and I would walk to her house to visit with her. She would take us all along those paths, and tell us about the different plants. I even remember her pretty painted nails as she pinched off cuttings for me to take home and plant in our yard!
