My GF in college---well sheesh, I was getting my associates at 20 and she was 18 earning hers! She was a product of early-graduation from homeschooling.
I'm not concerned in the least for the "social" aspect homeschool children "MISS" vs public schooling, there are far better ways to engage with the public and far better examples to be watching and learning from (i.e. mostly adults vs peers) among good kids they have as friends.
But I do wonder how homeschooled children adapt, if indeed there is a transition for them, from homeschool study to all day college courses with long hand note-taking and lectures. My friend began in the public schools so for her it wasn't anything new to move to college after a few years of homeschooling.
But what about others?
I do plan to homeschool with the same hope of graduating my children at 16 years of age to move onto a community college first. But I do worry about how they will adapt. Perhaps I am not giving them or myself enough credit.
Any success stories?
