I love the Tree of Life quilt. You are fortunate to have not only the quilts but the wonderful memories sewn into every stitch.

    Hello GoldLeaf...

Thank you so much. Yes I know I am very fortunate, and I wrap myself in those quilts whenever I need to feel their comfort. The Tree of Life is one of my favorites, I love it too, but then I love them all.

Thanks for writing, so very nice to hear from you.

Thanks for your sweet response, Sharon. I made my son a large log cabin quilt using 1" logs. The fabric I used was Thimbleberries in black, taupe/tan and off white with red centers. I had it professionally quilted as that was too big of a project for me and I wanted to see it finished. He loves it. There is something about quilts that is intangible combining art, love and comfort.

Maybe you could show me a picture? It sounds beautiful. I have a log cabin that my mother made just a few years before she died, and it is in browns, taupes, and a cream color. It is so beautiful.

Art, love and comfort...Yes! What a lovely thought.

I'll ask my son to take a picture of the quilt.

Your log cabin sounds so nice and the right traditional colors for it.
