A friend passed along this plant to me; neither of us know what it is. I believe it's a succulent but that's about all I can tell. Any ideas?

That was my first thought but I didn't know if they would grow like that. The leaves do look the same.

Hm, I looked that up in PlantFiles and I don't see anything under 'kalanchoe' that looks like my plant, at least nothing that trails like it.

I agree with the kalanchoe idea, and I think it may be trailing due to having insufficient light sometime in its life.

It's photo-periodic like a Christmas cactus. If kept in the dark from sunset-sunrise it may flower. Ours are flowering down here now.

I would bet that's a jade plant that became "leggy" due to lacks of light, and possibly other nutrients.

I thought of that as well, however if you look at the close up some of the leaves have the Kalanchoe type edge.
Definitely looks like it didn't have enough light though.

I have it in a very bright room with two big skylights now, so hopefully it will thrive and start to look like it's supposed to. Thanks everyone!
