I remember years ago (i am a late gardener i suppose) watching my neighbor garden and thinking how beautiful she looked while doing it. In addition her yard was lovely. I always regret not reaching out to her then. After i moved it was my new neighbor who inspired me to start my own. After hearing my tales about secretly watching my old neighbor he encouraged me to visit her with some plants that i already had in my new yard. She was delighted and we traded various things. This small event began what is now my favorite pastime. It is strange because i never had a hobby to speak of until now. Every time i complete a task it is as if a piece of me has been made complete as well. I feel fortunate to have had gardening neighbors. My only regret is to not have discovered gardening earlier.
