Would love to see the re-activation of this forum continue!
I'm a lonely Zone Oner who'd be happy to play with some 4 and 5's...Since I don't see any 2's-3's though you must be out there.
The recent Zone 4-5 thread mentioned frozen tundra, inversions and ice fog, long dark winters and my favorite payoff for enduring the previous weather issues--the never ending daylight in the summer...very familiar with all.
I will be winter sowing again this year and am improving my odds through trial & error. Mostly my errors, as opposed to Mother Nature's. I'm learning to play by her rules.
I grow 99.9% flowers. Favorites (addictions) are lilies and dahlias, complemented by an endless variety of annuals since I love to see we can get to grow up here if given special care...and am particularly peeved when a vendor says "you can't grow that there"...Maybe, just maybe---I can.
Cool climate gardeners are a pretty tenacious breed...let's talk about our plans for summer green.
