I ordered minor bulbs for my mom, dad, and recently buried brother the first of Jan. I wanted minor bulbs as they pretty much disappear by the time the grass is mowed. The bulbs went to my husband's office instead of home. I did not know they were there until last week when he brought them home. The area, zone 7a, where the cemetery is has had tremendous ice storm and then rain. Therefore, the ground is soggy. The bulbs look great, but I am in a quandary as what to do with these bulbs.
Should I:
A. Go ahead a bury them in the mud?
B. Bury them replacing the soil with a bag of potting soil?
C. Put them in pots?
If the answer is C, please tell me how to do this. Should they be outside? In the garage? I am at the very edge of zone 7 near zone 6.
The bulbs are specie tulips, aka wild flowering tulips and giant crocus.
