We are building a new home, we have decided to do painted woodwork (base boards, doors, and door and window trim. I have Anderson Windows with white interior, so I thought I should match the white on the Anderson Windows. It has a gray cast to it and I don't like that color for the trim -- if I go white will I notice the difference. Any suggestions on type of paint for trim, so that it would be durable?
Any quality, all acrylic, semi-gloss paint should be durable if the trim is primed first.
There is a lot more trim than window frame. Choose a color that works with the general decore, forget the white window sashes.
Pure white is a bit harsh, those with 00 (zero, zero) on the color chart. Look for an off-white that fits.
