I was wondering if anyone has heard of soaking Datura metel seed for 24 hours before sowing. I collected seed from my plants last year and, in the past, I had soaked them before sowing. As I was putting them in water today, I wondered if the seed naturally floats or if I should separate the "floaters" from the "sinkers" assuming one or the other is indicative of seed viability. Can anyone help?
