I love this plant, but it is almost impossible to find as bedding plants anymore, so I start it from seed. For the 4th year in a row, 90% of what germinated are the single flowered ones...NOT the big double ones.
I just buy the seeds at the nursery and am always disappointed when they bloom. because they're not the double ones. It's almost impossible to tell by just the foliage what they'll be until they bloom, and by then it's too late.
Anyone able to suggest a source for the big double Imperial Giants seed mix that won't be all single flowered varieties ? They can't be that difficult to find, as the double ones are a "staple" of the cut flower industry.
