ok, we're making a quilt, going to cut out heart shapes to sew onto a square. I don't want to stitch around it using a decorative stitch. So, how can i get the edging of the heart shape tucked under without loosing the exact shape ?
same question for x amount of half circles layed consectitive with all flat bottoms , facing the bottom...looking like a row of humps, mountains without a peek...ect..??
i tried the humps and they were all uneven so i just used a design stitch and stitched around them.
I seen this pattern ( on my grandmothers bed) in a old photo of a family pet. of course i've look at that dog a million times and finally noticed granny's quilt in the background...lol...
thanks for all your help guys !! without this pc, i'd have no help'atall !!
I'd make 2 sided pieces. Sew 2 heart shapes together, right sides together, Sew, trim, and clip the seam. Cut a slit in the back side then turn it right side out and press.
Or, cut the heart shape out of heavy plastic (cardboard) and iron the fabric heart over it to get the shape.
