Hey,

Great article. I wish every child could experience the joy of picking fruit of their own backyard tree! We'd grow some gardeners for sure. :-)

I'm going to have to plant some more fruit trees. I lost both of my cherry trees.

If I had some wild plum branches, I'd graft them onto my plum tree.

Anyway, very enjoyable.

Thanks,

April

Glad you enjoyed it... and I agree that every child should carry a memory of having picked and eaten fruit fresh off the tree, bush or vine. In my case, it was a mango, an avocado and a juice orange tree in the back yard. I picked strawberries (for 10¢ a quart) after school to earn spending money for a high school band trip.

I plan to supplant the few berries I have planted here with some tree fruits and I'm working on a list today for an order!
